This is one that I have been looking forward to for quite some time now. I found a site today that is going to change my life, or at the very least the way I watch TV…lol.
For quite a while now I have been looking for a good collection of torrent based RSS feeds for the TV shows that I watch, mainly the ones that don’t air in Canada like BBUK, The IT Crowd, Skins. etc. I was able to find a few good feeds but until now it was always a labor intensive process of searching for each show.
I stumbled apon a site called tvrss, basically its just that, a collection of RSS feeds for every TV show imaginable. not so useful on its own but merged with Miro(used to be democracy player, search my archives for a review) its finally time to say goodbye to that pesky cable bill…lol. Just pick the show you want to watch, add the RSS page’s URL to your channel list in Miro and it will automatically download any new episodes as soon as they are put online. You will have to wait about a day for shows to show up online and be downloaded but if you don’t mind being a day behind on the TV schedule then it’s all good. The biggest advantage of this process is for the shows that don’t air in your area, priceless.
Download Miro here.
Find your feeds on tvRSS here.
Enjoy,
Ed.
